As you might have found elsewhere in this site, we started off as an advertising and special effects house, and today we're a full-fledged feature film animation studio. Over the last few years, we've worked our way into one of the most competitive sectors of the entertainment industry, and we plan on being here for a while.

Day by day, our team works tirelessly to make sure that we can deliver the best product possible. We work late nights (sometimes weekends) but in the end, we wouldn't do it if we didn't love animation. That's what drives us now, and you can see it everywhere. Hallways are covered with sketches and artwork. Offices and cubicles are adorned with animated characters in plush, action figure, and print. Being surrounded by toys is probably why many folks here look so youthful!

Action figures aside, working for Blue Sky is an opportunity to learn. Because of its size, the company inherently provides a level of interaction that's not always possible in other studios. Crossing over from one discipline to another is not uncommon - modelers becoming animators, lighters becoming effects technicians. There are even classes held to teach folks what they wouldn't normally learn in their regular daily routine.

With the amount of the time we spend together, a lot of us are as close as any family. Blue Sky sponsors yoga and weekly life drawing classes, but you'll also find us hanging out together on a Friday night at the local restaurant or bowling alley. On Monday, though, it's back to work creating the next hit animated film!
