STORY INTERN (#89)

Description : We have filled our Summer 2010 Story Internship. Thank you for your submissions. We wish you a great summer!
Blue Sky Studios is currently offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring Storyboard Artists as Story Department Intern. This internship will focus on the production process and offers invaluable experience as to how a story evolves through that process. Interns will work closely with professional Story Artists, interact with the Directors, and gain real world training in the process of animated storytelling.
Responsibilities :
Interns will be mentored by professional artists to:
Develop the ability to depict action and comedy through expressive drawing
Develop the ability to stage and maintain visual continuity
Work on character development, provide editorial fixes, and sequence clean-ups
Gain exposure to the production pipeline and learn how Story interacts with other departments
Qualifications :
We are looking for artists with exceptional drawing skills, demonstrated ability in storytelling, and enthusiasm for collaborating with others. Candidates should be either Junior or Senior level animation students at an accredited college, university or have graduated within the last 9 months.

How to SUBMIT your test?
Please submit your panels, 6 per page (you can use a program like Photoshop to import your panels and save them as a contact sheet), PRINTED
+ printed portfolio if you have one
+ cover letter (be sure to tell us why you wish to intern at Blue Sky and why we should award you the internship)
+ resume.
+ 2 letters of reference from faculty.

Please be assured that if you submit your work in accordance to our guidelines we will review your work and consider it for the position that you applied for. DO NOT SUBMIT ORIGINALS.
